Angela Rene' is the CEO and Designer of Rene' Tyler. Angela's love affair with fashion began at a very young age. She was influenced by her Mother and Grandmother, who taught her the fundamentals of sewing. Being surrounded by women with style, and her love of fashion she always knew she wanted to be a Designer. As a plus-size woman, she found the fashions limited and unappealing. She always wondered why the plus size department was always hidden in the back of the store, like the ugly stepchild, and why contemporary, trendy and couture designs, stop at size 14. Her frustration to find stylish clothing in her size, gave her the determination to create her own. Out of necessity, her passion grew as well as her clientele. After providing her designs for Red Carpet and Formal Events, in 2010, Purple Diva Designs was born.

In 2013, Angela was honored by the Multicultural Motion Picture Association (MMPA), with the Lady in Red Award for her contribution to fashion. She was encouraged to do more for the Plus Industry, since there was a lack of plus-size models in major runway shows, and at LA Fashion Week. She made history as the Producer of the show, Haute Curves LA Fashion Week. The FIRST ever Plus Size Fashion Show, during LA Fashion Week, which celebrated the second year, on Saturday, October 12, 2013, at the Los Angeles Convention Center. In August 2014, she created a show that celebrates women forty and above. Forty Plus Divas Fashion and Vendor Expo was presented in Las Vegas. This history-making event showcased women ages forty to eighty-two and sizes, six to twenty-six.

In 2016, the desire to take the brand to the next level, Purple Diva Designs became Rene' Tyler, and her son, Chase Tyler joined the company as the Creative Director. Rene' Tyler made history again as the first Plus Size Brand to show at the prestigious Art Heart's Fashion, at LA Fashion Week, in the Fall of 2016 and Spring of 2018, paving the way for many other plus-size brands that are now being recognized in the fashion industry.

Rene’ Tyler was featured on the groundbreaking AMC network show, ‘Dieltand’. Her designs have been worn by Orange Is The New Black actress, Laverne Cox for the Netflix Strong Black Lead campaign, recording artist Marsha Ambrosius during Maxwell’s 50 Intimate Nights Tour, The Daily Show correspondent Dulce’ Sloan for the 70th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards, actress Vivica A. Fox, and Garcelle Beauvais. Her designs were recently worn by CBS 'Ghosts' Star Danielle Pinnock, and Tony Award Winner Alex Newell.

Continuing their momentum and mission to create high-end designs for full-figured women, the brand opened the first ever plus size boutique on the Las Vegas Strip, now located at the Fashion Show Mall. They recently showcased their ‘Noir et Blanc’ collection in New York at the Oxford Fashion Studio show at Pier 59, making them the only brand to showcase an all plus-size collection for the fall and winter 2020 season. In October of 2020, Rene' received the award for Favourite Independent Designer from Slink Magazine, and in 2021 received the Outstanding Female Designer Award from The FFIA'S (The Full Figured Industry Awards).

She was featured in the September issue of Moden Luxury Las Vegas as one of 2022’s Dynamic Women, and most recently her designs were on the runway at the Off The Field NFL Wives Charity Fashion Show during Super Bowl Weekend in Las Vegas.

Most recently the brand showcased collections at Emerge NY Fashion Week, and Lumiere Runway LA Fashion Week.

Currently, the brand has now pivoted it's mission to create a space for individuals to embrace their bodies, by offering sizes zero to plus. Rene's goal has always been to provide fashion for those who are often overlooked. Rene' Tyler believes whether you're a size four or forty-four, fashion is for everyone.
